Speaking Reps is operated by Alan Yeung and provides private speaking-practice feedback through SpeakingReps.com. Alan Yeung personally reviews founding customer submissions. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@speakingreps.com.
Information we collect
We receive your name, email address, purchase and payment-status information, recording links, submitted content, and any optional context or messages you send. Stripe may collect billing details and payment information during checkout. Payment details are submitted to Stripe; please do not email us card information.
Our website and its providers may process basic technical information, such as IP addresses, browser details, access times, and security logs, to operate and protect the website.
How we use information
We use information to process and confirm purchases, provide your reviews, compare your submitted reps, communicate about your service, respond to questions and refund requests, maintain necessary transaction records, and operate and secure the website.
Your recordings are used only to provide the feedback service you purchased. Speaking Reps will not publish them or use them in marketing, advertising, testimonials, or other promotional use without your explicit permission.
Recording access and service providers
Speaking Reps does not currently host customer videos. You share a link through Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, unlisted YouTube, or another host you choose. Alan accesses the link to watch or listen and prepare written feedback. You control the original recording and its sharing permissions. An unlisted link may be viewable by anyone who receives it; it is not the same as restricted access.
Stripe processes payments under its Privacy Policy. Providers used for email, website hosting, and related service operations may process information needed for those functions. Your chosen file or video host handles information under its own policies. Information may also be disclosed where legally required or necessary to address fraud, security incidents, or legal claims.
Retention and deletion
We retain recording links, submission messages, and feedback only as long as reasonably needed to deliver your sprint, address related requests or disputes, and meet legal obligations. Necessary payment and transaction records may be kept longer for accounting or legal purposes. Information no longer needed is deleted, subject to any necessary backup retention.
Email us to request access, correction, or deletion of information we hold. We may need to verify your identity. We will explain any information we must retain and why. Deleting our records does not delete recordings in your own hosting account; you can remove those recordings or revoke access through your host. Revoking access before a review is completed may prevent us from providing it.
Cookies, analytics, and security
The website and checkout may use cookies or similar technologies for basic operation, security, and analytics. We currently use Google Analytics to understand website traffic, traffic sources, and how visitors use the site, and Microsoft Clarity to understand interactions such as clicks, scrolling, and session behavior through heatmaps and session recordings. These services may collect information such as pages viewed, device and browser information, referral source, approximate location derived from IP address, and interaction data. Clarity masks sensitive input fields by default.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings, although some functions may be affected. Where applicable law requires additional consent or choices for analytics or advertising technologies, we will provide them.
We use reasonable precautions appropriate to this service, but no online transmission or storage is completely secure. Do not submit confidential, sensitive, proprietary, or restricted material you are not authorized to share.
Policy updates
We may update this policy as our practices change. We will provide notice of material changes where required and obtain any permission required before using existing information for a new purpose.
